Overview
HIM is my third scenario to be released. It is relatively short: five
towns, no outdoor sections. I think the way in which this scenario
is unique and different form other scenarios in the time of writing,
is that in the whole scenario there is one creature only, and this creature is not an entirely organic lifeform. That's all I'll tell, because for me the charm of this scenario is basically the not knowing what is going on, and while you can finish the scenario in only two minutes or so, you'll miss out on half of the plot.
So anyway, about the plot...
On second thought, let me tell you a bit about how I got to the scenario's plot. If you played HIM, and are familiar with Valve's game "Portal", then it's no coincidence that you might think HIM's plot is awfully similar. You're right, it isn't a coincidence. I played Portal too, and I loved it. Loved it to such an extent, that when Nikki urged me to design a new scenario, he told me to try and make something using Portal's plot. That is what I did, and HIM is the result.
What People have been saying of HIM:
I can't think of a way I'd do it better. - Nikki
The atmosphere was well executed, a mix of darkness and confusion. - Nioca
The towns are painted well; the Geneforge graphics blend in with the BoA ones nicely. - Terror's Martyr
I didn't like the intro, but after that, sheer brilliance. - Belial says about the scenario's atmosphere.
This scenario is proof that you don't need the most advanced code to work well. - Grail Shadowblade
Thank you, all of you! If you want to review HIM too, then head over to CSR. Your review is much appreciated, since it can help me make future scenarios better.
